Allison Pregler Bio

Allison Pregler is a reviewer who tackles Z-grade film typically within the martial arts or horror genre, which is roughly comparable to The Cinema Snob but tending toward action films that are dumb and boring, as well as an obsession with them. She began reviewing in late 2009, and when she gained some recognition in their forums (under the name of her former handle Obscurus Lupa) she became a member of the Channel Awesome family. She was on the website until the beginning of 2015 when Obscurus Lupa Presents was revamped to Movie Nights. Presently, she hosts two podcasts, one focused on the Charmed franchise and the other co-hosted with Phelous. After a controversial departure from Channel Awesome Allison officially announced on January 20th 2015 that she'd be revamping OLP into an impromptu review show called Movie Nights with an appropriately-shlocky elevator jazz theme. The shows she appeared during Midnight Screenings were usually reviews of terrible films for kids or RiffTrax, but also some adult-oriented comedy. Her first review was in the latter part of 2009. She earned a great deal in popularity thanks to her participation in the Channel Awesome forum before becoming part of the family. She's been on many Channel Awesome shows from Atop the Fourth Wall to Phelous & the Movies. She was a part of the Channel Awesome family alongside Doug Walker and often appeared on the show Nostalgia Critic.
