Allison Pregler Bio

Allison Pregler is a reviewer who reviews Z-grade films generally within the horror or martial arts genre. The style is similar to The Cinema Snob but tending toward action films that are dumb and boring, as well as some morbid pleasure from them. Her reviews started in late 2009; after she gained some fame (under the name of Obscurus Lupa, which was previously used) Allison Pregler subsequently became part of Channel Awesome's family. She continued to be a member of the channel through January of 2015, after which Obscurus Lupa Presents transformed into Movie Nights. Additionally, she hosts two podcasts via her channel that both cover the Charmed franchise and both co-hosted alongside Phelous. After a controversial departure from Channel Awesome Allison officially announced on January 20th 2015 that she'd be revamping OLP into an impromptu review show called Movie Nights with an appropriately-shlocky elevator jazz theme. Brad Jones starred her in Jesus Bro! The role of a guest on Midnight Screenings is a regular event. The program reviews grotesque films aimed at children, RiffTrax and live shows. There are also times when it features adult comedy. After reviewing films in 2009 her name was a hit on Channel Awesome's forums. After joining the official team consisting of Channel Awesome reviewers, she was a household name. Her appearances have been in numerous Channel Awesome programs, from Atop the Fourth Wall and Phelous & the Movies to Atop the Fourth Wall. She was a part of the Channel Awesome family alongside Doug Walker and was often seen in episodes of the Nostalgia Critic.
