Nancy O'Dell's initial job in the broadcast industry was as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a the morning news anchor as well as a crime reporter for WCBD-TV. While in Charleston O'Dell's reports about the relaxed approach police take towards DUI cases caused an State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the State authorities issuing an even more strict directive on these situations. Ms. O'Dell was awarded her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. After her time at Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative journalist. She then became a part of Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. Additionally, she is an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She co-hosted several of Pre-ShowArrivals programs to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Co-hosted The Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
